So I just bought another writing prompt book at Barnes & Nobles. I don’t know what it is but I have a hard time writing in books so since I wasn’t using this blog for it’s intended purpose and since I can type way faster than I write, I thought I would use it for now to get back into writing.
SO the first page on this new book asks me:
What is your favorite way to spend a lazy day?
Well, writing prompt book, it’s funny you should ask. I actually considered beginning this book yesterday which was a Sunday and usually my lazy days are Sundays. The thing is, I was too lazy to start writing. I have the best couch in the world. Its huge and it’s comfy and a million people can fit on it, but on my perfect lazy day, which yesterday came close, I am on that couch all alone, in some very soft loose clothing, lots of pillows, the tv remote and my laptop.
I used to read blogs all the time but it’s been a while so I opened up my neglected Feedly account and scanned through all the different posts. I didn’t find too many that appealing. I am not sure if it’s because all these “mommy bloggers” are running out of things to show off or if I just need to find some fresher or more relevant blogs.
I have not been much of a TV person for a long time, but recently, I caved and signed up for cable and so now I have a DVR and On Demand. I have found a few shows that I really like. Hubby and I watch; Secrets and Lies, Timeless and Designated Survivor, but the show I watch all alone is This Is Us. It’s not that I don’t think he would like the show. It’s just that I started watching it alone one day when he was out and so it’s my show. Anyway, I was behind about 5 episodes so I binge watched This Is Us yesterday and now I’m all caught up. It was amazing.
Truth be told, I’m an active busy person and so I have a hard time taking an entire lazy day. after several hours, the mom guilt kicks in and I’m back to work so with that being said, a lazy day, is not really an entire day.
So, if anyone out there is reading, tell me, what is your favorite way to spend a lazy day?
